APPEALS
PROCESS

Students who have not been allocated a place at our school for September 2026 are entitled to appeal using the form below. Appeals should be submitted using the online form below.

You should include any evidence or supporting material with your appeal form, and you must give the grounds for your appeal at the time you lodge your appeal.

Your appeal form will not be accepted unless you state the grounds for your appeal. Do not send your appeal to the local authority.

Paper copies are available from Mrs W Abbott, Admissions Officer.

If your child is due to start secondary school in September 2026, you can appeal if you are refused a place at one of your preferred schools on National Offer Day (Monday 2nd March 2026). You needed to submit your appeal before Monday, 30th March 2026 for it to be considered by Wednesday, 17th June 2026. Any appeals received after this time will be heard within 40 school days from the deadline, or where reasonably possible in line with updated guidance from the Department for Education.

For late applications, appeals should be heard within 40 school days from the deadline for lodging appeals where possible, or within 30 school days of the appeal being lodged where reasonably possible in line with updated guidance from the Department for Education.

WAITING
LIST

Parents of children who have not been offered a place at the school may ask for their child’s name to be placed on a waiting list. The waiting list will be operated using the same admissions criteria listed in the Admissions Policy.

Placing a child’s name on the waiting list does not guarantee that a place will become available. It is possible that when a child is directed under the Local Authority’s fair access protocol, they will take precedence over those children already on the list.

Parents will be contacted as soon as a place becomes available.
