ADMISSIONS
CRITERIA
During September your daughter's primary school will give you a booklet with a Common Application Form (CAF) enclosed. The booklet will provide information about all secondary schools in Kent and their admission criteria. It will also detail information on each secondary schools open evening and week, allowing you as a parent the opportunity to view and visit the schools, enabling you to make an informed choice.
You will be asked to select a number of schools and put them in order of preference. Applications are normally completed online. Paper applications are also available via this website.
At the beginning of March you will be sent a letter by KCC informing you which school your daughter has been allocated. If you are not happy with the school you have been allocated you have a right to appeal against the decision. The appeal form will be included in your offer letter. You can only appeal for a place in a school that was on your original CAF. Please note if you were allocated your first choice school and decided that you did not want this, you cannot appeal for a second or third place on your CAF.
