TRIPS
INFORMATION

School trips are a key part of our enrichment programme, offering students the chance to explore new places, develop important life skills, and make lasting memories. We believe that learning happens in many forms, and our trips are designed to complement classroom teaching by providing real-world experiences that inspire curiosity, teamwork, and personal growth.

One of the most exciting events in our school calendar is the annual Whole School Trip Day. This much-anticipated day gives every student the opportunity to choose from a variety of thrilling and engaging destinations. Recent options have included adrenaline-filled experiences such as Chessington World of Adventures, Hangloose Adventure at Bluewater, and the team challenge escape-style experience at Prison Island in Maidstone. These trips are designed to reward hard work, strengthen friendships, and celebrate our vibrant school community in a fun and inclusive way.

In addition to the Whole School Trip Day, a wide range of curriculum and enrichment trips take place throughout the academic year. From theatre visits and university open days to cultural excursions and outdoor activities, each trip is carefully planned to support learning, build aspirations, and create memorable experiences.

WORLD CHALLENGE
& DofE TRIPS

Northfleet School for Girls offers students exciting opportunities to broaden their horizons through residential and adventurous World Challenge trips to destinations such as Iceland and Costa Rica. These life-changing experiences allow students to explore new cultures, develop independence, and engage in activities like hiking, conservation work, and team challenges in stunning natural environments.

In addition to these international expeditions, students also have the chance to participate in the Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) programme, where they can build confidence, resilience, and leadership skills through volunteering, physical activities, skills development, and expeditions closer to home. These programmes reflect the school’s commitment to personal growth and holistic education beyond the classroom.

Examples of World Challenge and DofE trips are below:
